Getac today announced that the United States Air Force has selected the Getac B300 ultra rugged notebook for its Quantum Enterprise Buy (QEB) program. The selection of the B300 was led by Air Force officials in the Air Force Information Technology Commodity Council and was evaluated on the basis of performance, price, quality, and compatibility with the stringent security requirements. The B300 met all of the requirements and has the build quality to withstand even the harshest of environmental conditions.

Jim Rimay, president of Getac, Inc., commented on the B300's selection, saying the company is excited for such recognition. "Our ability to consistently produce high quality products that meet the strict guidelines of government agencies is certainly something in which we take a lot of pride," he said. "Reliability in extreme conditions, especially in remote locations, is the top consideration for everyone using rugged devices, and the Air Force is certainly no exception.”
